Bonjour Zondra Art,
I love this photo of Marilyn, I honestly feel it shows her true personality minus the Hollywood machine.
Have a great Wednesday, cheers!

Greetings My Grama's Soul,
This movie was great fun to watch and Marilyn was always sheer comic relief, she was quite hilarious during her heyday.
Have a lovely rest of the day Jo, cheers!

Great picture! I love those days when guys dressed nice like that all the time and girls were so glamorous!

Even when you're silent, you're beautiful. Check out the way he's looking at those gams, have you ever seen anything so sexual? Don't answer that!

Greetings Poppies and Sunshine,
I do also! In those days women did not leave their homes without being coiffed beyond belief..full makeup, each hair in place, a lovely ensemble and matching gloves-I just love it!
The gentlemen looked just as elegant, those were the days. I must believe we are just as capable of keeping this beautiful tradition we were taught alive..are you with me? :-)
Have a lovely evening P and S, cheers!

Bonjour CherylT,
You have completely read my mind! When I normally see this photo it is just Marilyn in it, however this one features her co-star Tom Ewell and the look he gives her legs is so incredibly sexy and priceless! Now that is the way you show interest in a lady, a somewhat longing glance..gets us each and every time-whether they will admit to it or not. :-)
Have a lovely evening CherylT and do behave yourself, cheers! :-)

I agree its great photo. But the sad part is that Joe DiMaggio is fuming off camera, mad as hell the guys with the fan can see up her dress. Poor Marilyn her life was so tragic.

If there is a more iconic image of Hollywood during this era, then I've yet to see it.

Greetings James,
You are so correct-he was beyond fuming and he had good reason to be. But he had to know her playfulness when he married her, she was not about to calm down for anyone.
You could not have paid me to do that shot-the lady had hootspha!
She did live a most tragic life and was used constantly, it was indeed sad.
Hope you have a lovely upcoming weekend James, cheers!

Hello Ryan,
I agree with you, other than the Hollywood sign itself she pretty much has this category shored up as they say.
Hope you are having a great day, cheers Ryan.

This was a sad story all around.
She was young and had her life ahead of her.Bad decisions cost her plenty.
